Functionality: 
The Illumina NextSeq 1000 uses sequencing-by-synthesis technology to deliver an output range of 10-360Gb at 100M-2.4B reads per run. The NextSeq 1000 uses higher density flow cells for applications including whole genome sequencing, transcriptome analysis, and targeted resequencing. Using the PhiX control library, it provides high-quality and scalable results in as little as 12 hours.
